Please, stop with the violence and brinkmanship.

First of all, let's all thank the first responders, and especially the Secret Service, today for doing an outstanding job in minimizing the damage done by the assassin. The sniper was shooting from a roof outside the security perimeter of the venue, and a counter sniper neutralized him.

My condolences to those injured today, and my deepest condolences to the family and friends of the spectator who was killed, caught in the crossfire of a horrible situation.

Now that we've gotten that out of the way, can we talk about the firestorm on social media right now?

Yelling “Civil War!!!” is never helpful.

Also, screaming "False Flag” or "Staged” doesn't help either.

Politics are not the WWE nor a cage match, no matter how much President 45 says they are. We have to take the volume down considerably, and start behaving like mature adults.

When you preach violence, you get violence.

If everybody would stop trying to “own” or “one up” one another, we may be able to have a civilized society.
