Look I am not a climate scientist, and more than likely, neither are you.
But I know for a fact that you are just as freaked out lately by the insane weather we are having all over the world.
So, I decided to attempt to try and understand what the heck is happening to our planet.
My favorite exercise is walking and hiking, and lately I've been sensing that the sun is a little too bright, the heat is a little too hot, the rain is a little too much, and the snow is way too deep. There are suddenly tornadoes in Tennessee, crazy snow storms in Virginia, extremely cold weather in Texas, it's colder sometimes in the Great Plains states than it is at the North Pole, and the West Coast, where I live, has been stuck in an atmospheric river for the first time since I don't know when.
As my friend says, “This ain't right.”
So being a nature lover like I am, I wanted to reach out to other people who want to do something about this.
I am so frustrated, aren't you? I've been to all the Earth Days, been to Greenpeace rallies, saw Jane Fonda speak about Climate Change here at City Hall in Los Angeles.
But I wanted to galvanize people, but had little idea of how to go about it.
If you're like me, this is your space.
I started taking classes, I started going to meetings, and I want to impart the tiny bit I've learned.
In my posts/Substack/blog, I will feature articles with information from climate leaders, people at the front lines of action in saving our planet and our communities, and hopefully as this goes on, I will be able to interview people who can tell us what's next, and how we can prepare for it.
So let's get going here.
I will be publishing every Friday, Pacific Standard Time with a brand new article, and I will try to make it as enjoyable as possible. I hope you come along for the ride. Join me.
