Thank you, Philadelphia Inquirer Editorial Board
People, FOCUS. 👏👏👏
I have finally arrived at the age where I yell at my TV set during Sunday morning talk shows, just like Dad.
I really am my father's daughter. Not a surprise, but I didn't think it would happen this early in life. Then again, my dad didn't have to deal with the crazy debate we had this week in his lifetime, so I guess it's only fitting that I yell at the TV in mine.
Everyone, especially in the media, can we stop this from being a horse race, and talk about issues?
Both candidates are too old for the job. I sincerely hope after this election is over with, that we put some laws in place to limit the age of our elected representatives, put in term limits for everyone in all three branches of government, and enforce the anti corruption laws that are already on the books. It's not difficult.
Neither candidate did a good job at the debate. They both failed. Joe was loaded up with too many facts and he was rambling too much, and Donald lied through his teeth every chance he got and didn't answer one question the moderator asked directly.
CNN and their mods failed. In this day and age do we need TV debates anymore? I didn't learn anything new about these two people except that they're both worn out and old. Debates are useless. Let's do away with them permanently.
There is one thing that was the most glaring difference, and Joe Biden barely brought it up, but it is truly the most disqualifying fact about either candidate:
Donald Trump is a convicted FELON. Not just 3 counts and you're out, he has 34 felony counts.
Only one newspaper brought this up after the debate and it was in today's Philadelphia Inquirer, and damn it, somebody should nominate them for the Edgar R Morrow Award for it.
I'm not even going to try and cut and paste what they said in my little article, I'll put the link below so you can read it for yourselves, but let's just say that they said what nobody else has said yet.
Donald Trump is the one that needs to step down and away from the Republican presidential nomination.
Why can't anybody else say that? Who is telling them not to say that? I'm being serious, is it about money? Is it about ratings? Is it about losing access to Donald Trump and his crazy minions? Would that be such a bad thing to lose access to Donald Trump? I would love to go one day without hearing his name, let alone having access to the jerk.
Let's focus about getting Donald Trump out of our collective hair, and if the best way of doing that is Joe Biden, then leave him be.
I'll vote for a trash can over Donald Trump.
Stop speculating and fantasizing about candidates that don't want to run against Trump, and let's concentrate about getting rid of him.
Wake up.
